For over 30 years, AromaScience Training and Aromaflex Academy have been providing quality education in aromatherapy, reflexology, anatomy and physiology, and complementary health therapies.

Founded by Shelley Petersen-Monrad, our organisation is committed to helping learners develop practical, evidence-informed knowledge that supports personal wellbeing, professional development, and careers within the health and wellness sector.

We offer flexible learning pathways through both NZQA-approved micro-credentials and internationally recognised professional programmes. Most programmes are available through blended learning, combining online study, interactive learning resources, tutor support, and practical training. This means many students can study from anywhere in New Zealand without needing to relocate or regularly travel to Nelson.

As an NZQA-registered Private Training Establishment (PTE), we deliver nationally recognised programmes including:

Aromaflex Academy

ITEC qualifications and IFPA credentials are well recognised in health and beauty, spas, luxury yacht and sports clinics in over 35 countries worldwide. The ITEC qualifications in Aromatherapy and Reflexology is two of the most comprehensive courses offered here in NZ.  Attend several week block courses and study at home with high quality distance learning options supported by our experienced tutors and up to date learning platform.
