About Us
Aromaflex Academy is a Professional Training Establishment specialising in Aromatherapy, Aroma Science and Reflexology.
We have been successfully training students for over 20 years and we are based in the seaside resort town of Nelson, which is located at the top of the South Island. The Institute is located in the historical building, Development House, situated on the top end of Trafalgar Street, Nelson. Our location is central to the shopping district and the local Cafes and Arts scene makes for a very pleasant experience.
The Principal is passionate about Complementary Medicine and has over 25 years of experience in Aromatherapy and Reflexology. She has kept well educated to continue to offer up to date, relevant industry demand training in the specialized programmes of study offered at this Institute. In the past, Shelley has worked extensively with NZ Governing Bodies setting the standards with Aromatherapy & Reflexology education, including NZQA in the Targeted Review of Qualifications for Complementary Medicine. She is currently still on the education board for the NZ Aromatherapy Governing body, NZROHA.
We have continued to develop and evolve our teaching styles with our courses, offering both in-house blended and distance (correspondence) learning options.
Our new on-line teaching platform for students provides videos, tutorials and more interactive learning support materials that simply cannot be provided via just workbooks.
Our mission is to offer students the platform to excel in their chosen pathway and to have qualifications that are recognized and respected within NZ and around the world.
